Marine Fuel Filter & Water Separator Spares
Filter elements, bowls, seals, drain valves and complete assemblies for coalescing water separators, duplex filters and automatic backflush units.
Water is the fuel system's most expensive contaminant, and every injection component downstream pays for it — plungers, barrels, delivery valves and nozzles all fail early on wet fuel. A coalescing water separator takes it out first, the filter elements take out the solids, and a differential pressure gauge tells you when the elements are loaded. Most fuel-side damage traces back to a drain that nobody opened or an element left in past its differential.
We supply replacement elements, bowls, seals, drain valves and complete assemblies for the filters actually fitted on board — Racor coalescing separators, Separ units, Bollfilter duplex and automatic backflush filters, Alfa Laval and Fleetguard. Elements are quoted by the micron rating and the housing, not by a generic description, because fitting the wrong rating either passes contaminant through or blocks within the week.
What We Supply
- Coalescing filter and water separator elements by micron rating
- Duplex filter elements, baskets and candle sets
- Automatic backflush filter elements, candles and control components
- Filter bowls, bowl seals, drain valves and water-in-fuel sensors
- Housing O-rings, gaskets and complete seal kits
- Differential pressure gauges, switches and indicators
- Changeover valves, vent and drain cocks
- Complete filter and separator assemblies where the housing is past repair
Fuel Filtration Symptoms and Their Usual Cause
- Differential pressure rising quickly after an element change — contaminated bunker, or the wrong micron rating fitted
- Water in the bowl between drains — the separator is working; the problem is upstream in the tank
- Engine losing power under load — restricted element, check the differential before anything else
- Air drawn into the fuel after an element change — housing seal not seated or the vent not closed
- Injection equipment failing early — water passing the separator, check the element and the drain
- Backflush filter cycling continuously — heavily loaded candles or a control fault, not a filter fault
- Fuel weeping at the housing — bowl seal or housing O-ring, replace with the element
- Water-in-fuel alarm not operating — sensor or its wiring, prove it rather than assuming it is clear
Engine & Equipment Makes We Cover
Marine Fuel Filter & Water Separator Spares supplied for the makes below, as genuine OEM and as class-approved equivalents — both quoted so you can decide against your survey date rather than guess.
What to Send Us for a Quote
Send the filter make, the housing model and the element part number from the old element or its box — housings from one maker take several ratings and the rating is what matters. Tell us the micron rating you have been running and whether you are seeing water or solids, because those point to different elements. For automatic backflush filters, give us the candle count as well as the housing model.

Marine Fuel Filter & Water Separator Spares — Common Questions
What superintendents and purchasing teams ask us most about fuel filter and water separator spares.
Which marine fuel filter and separator makes do you supply?
Racor, Separ, Bollfilter, Alfa Laval, Fleetguard, Donaldson, Mann+Hummel and Parker, plus the filters fitted as original equipment by Yanmar, Caterpillar and Cummins. Genuine and class-approved equivalents are quoted side by side.
How do I identify the right element?
By the housing model and the element part number from the old element or its box, together with the micron rating. One housing commonly accepts several ratings, and fitting the wrong one either passes contaminant through to the injection equipment or blocks within a week.
There is water in the separator bowl every day. Is the separator failing?
The opposite — it is doing its job. Daily water means the problem is upstream, in the bunker or in tank condensation. Keep draining, investigate the tank, and check the injection equipment, because anything the separator misses ends up in the plungers and nozzles.
Do you supply automatic backflush filter elements?
Yes, including candle sets and the control components for Bollfilter and Alfa Laval automatic units. Continuous cycling is usually heavily loaded candles or a control fault rather than a failure of the filter itself.
Can you supply a complete filter assembly?
Yes, where the housing is corroded or past repair. We quote the complete assembly against the element and seal kit so you can see whether rebuilding the existing housing is worth it.
What documentation comes with fuel filtration parts?
Certificates of conformity and material traceability accepted by ABS, DNV, LR, BV, RINA, NK, KR and CCS, prepared before dispatch.
