Marine Connecting Rod Supplier
Connecting rods, con rod bolts and nuts, small end bushes, gudgeon pins and crosshead components for marine main and auxiliary engines.
Connecting rods rarely wear out — they fail, and when they do the engine usually needs more than a rod. The parts that actually get replaced on a routine basis are the con rod bolts, the small end bush and the gudgeon pin, and of those the bolts matter most: they are stretch-critical, they have a defined service life in running hours, and reusing them past it is one of the few genuinely reckless things you can do in an engine room.
We supply complete rods, bolt and nut sets, small end bushes, gudgeon pins and, on two-strokes, the crosshead pin and guide shoe components. Bolts are supplied with material certificates and, where the maker specifies it, with the tensioning data you need to fit them correctly.
What We Supply
- Complete connecting rods and rod bodies
- Connecting rod bolts, nuts and hydraulic tensioning components
- Small end bushes and gudgeon (piston) pins
- Big end bearing shells and shims
- Crosshead pins, guide shoes and crosshead bearing components (two-stroke)
- Con rod studs, dowels and locking devices
- Serrated joint face spares for split-type rods
- Material certificates and tensioning data with every bolt set
When Connecting Rod Components Are Replaced
- Con rod bolts reaching their service-life limit in running hours — a scheduled, non-negotiable replacement
- Measured bolt elongation outside the maker's permanent-set tolerance
- Small end bush clearance beyond limit, or bush turning in the housing
- Gudgeon pin scoring or ovality measured at overhaul
- Big end knock, particularly audible on load change
- Crosshead guide shoe wear or scoring on the guide face
- Any rod involved in an overspeed, water-ingress or seizure event — condemned regardless of appearance
Engine & Equipment Makes We Cover
Connecting Rods supplied for the makes below, as genuine OEM and as class-approved equivalents — both quoted so you can decide against your survey date rather than guess.
What to Send Us for a Quote
Send the engine make and type, the part number and the unit. For bolts, tell us the running hours on the existing set — if they are near the limit we will quote the full set for the engine rather than one unit, because replacing them one at a time is false economy.

Connecting Rods — Common Questions
What superintendents and purchasing teams ask us most about marine connecting rods.
How often should connecting rod bolts be replaced?
To the engine maker's running-hour limit, without exception. Con rod bolts are stretch-critical fasteners with a defined service life, and reusing them beyond it risks a rod through the crankcase. Check the figure in your engine manual and replace the full set together.
Do you supply small end bushes and gudgeon pins?
Yes, individually or as a set with the rod. Where the bush is an interference fit we can also supply the fitting data, and we will quote the pin alongside it since replacing one without measuring the other rarely makes sense.
Can you supply crosshead components for two-stroke engines?
Yes. Crosshead pins, guide shoes, crosshead bearings and the associated shims and bolting, to the engine build specification.
Do you supply complete connecting rods?
Yes, as genuine OEM and as class-approved equivalents with material certificates. Complete rods are usually needed after a failure rather than as routine wear replacement, so tell us what happened and we will advise what else should be replaced at the same time.
What certification comes with con rod bolts?
Material certificates to EN 10204 and certificates of conformity accepted by ABS, DNV, LR, BV, RINA, NK, KR and CCS, plus the maker's tensioning and elongation data where specified.
Which engines do you cover for connecting rod parts?
MAN B&W, Wärtsilä, Sulzer, MAK, Yanmar, Daihatsu, Hanshin, Akasaka, HiMSEN, Caterpillar, Cummins and Deutz, across main engines and auxiliaries.
